On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) welcomed Dr. Kim Junpyo, Ambassador of South Korea to Iran, together with his delegation. The visit provided an opportunity to explore the activities and achievements of resident knowledge-based and technology companies, as well as the international collaborations facilitated by ISTT.
During the program, Ambassador Kim attended a presentation session where he was introduced to the technological capabilities of ISTT and became acquainted with the activities of the IRIS Regional Center, located within the ISTT. He also toured several innovative firms, observing their achievements and future outlook.
Ambassador Kim praised ISTT as Iran’s first science and technology park and described it as a pioneering model in fostering innovation. “I observed that both the government and the people of Iran pay significant attention to innovative industries. Meeting several resident companies demonstrated that their technologies and capabilities hold a very positive outlook for the future,” he stated.
He further remarked: “I had heard about the strength of Iranian companies before, but my presence here in ISTT confirmed this directly. There is a strong foundation for expanding technological and industrial cooperation between Iran and South Korea.”
Expressing hope for deeper bilateral ties, the Ambassador added: “As the Ambassador of South Korea in Iran, I will work to create better opportunities for mutual understanding and collaboration, especially among the knowledge-based and technology companies based in ISTT.”
With nearly 800 resident knowledge-based and technology companies, ISTT plays a vital role in advancing innovation and meeting the technological demands of industries across diverse sectors. The visit of the South Korean Ambassador reaffirmed ISTT’s position as a hub for international cooperation and a bridge for future technological partnerships.
